Also, where in the user account can I disable upload for the Guest account?
Also, where in the user account can I disable upload for the Guest acco
You can give the Guest account the 'U' (upload) restriction flag: http://wiki.synchro.net/access:restrictions
Or set the "Upload Requirments" for your file directories to "NOT GUEST".

Thanks for the info. I saw restrictions when I looked at Guest account but was not sure what to change/add. I will read the Wiki info you suggested.

Sure. Me personally, I like to allow anonymous-ftp uploads to my /incoming directory (an alias for main/uploads, which is visible only to me) - and this requires that the Guest account *not* have the 'U' restriction. It's handy way for people to send me files sometimes.
Ruben,
Also, where in the user account can I disable upload for the Guest account? It's in the restrictions...if U is there, they can't upload.

I have all the directories to LEVEL 99 (me) for uploading, but for
regular uploads (to the private area to be scanned), it's LEVEL 50 or
above. The guest account over here is at LEVEL 30.
Also, I did a slight modification on the guest account...they now have
to logon as GUEST USER with the password of BROWSE. I then put
"anonymous" in the user.can file, and I may put "guest" in there as
well. But, since it's just "guest", would "Guest User" still work??
In doing that, it has cut down on FTP bots looking for photo.scr and info.zip in the file area. I also have put the various browser email addresses in the appropriate .can files, to block those from getting in. But, I was wondering with the changing of the guest account name, and
adding a password, if it'd be OK to remove those browser emails.
You've eliminated the anonymous-ftp option by setting the guest account's DM>password. Why do you care if bots look for files? It's harmless.
