• Recycle Sempahore File Not Being Recognized

From Dmxrob@VERT/STLWEST to All on Saturday, March 30, 2019 06:42:22
A fresh install onto CentOS 7 (which worked fine before) and for some odd reason the recycle semaphore file isn't being recognized. Nothing showing up in the log that would give any clue why not. Anyone run into this issue before? And yes, I have double-checked the sbbs.ini file to make sure it isn't a NO_RECYCLE flag option.

My terminal portion of SBBS seems to be ignoring the recycle semaphore - the FTP and Web
threads are seeing it and recycling appropriately, though. It's being discussed in the
    Synchro Sysops echo.

Just a semi-wild guess here... could it be a permissions problem?
Did you define a non-root user and group in sbbs.ini for the BBS
to run as? If so you generally should do a chown -R (as root) on
/sbbs to the user/group you defined there.

Seems like somebody else was having this same issue recently,
can't remember where that thread was though...

What is the recycle semaphore filename you're trying to use?
