Thx. This thing takes a little getting used to. The first time I polled with this, I received the echos that were previously established using Winpoint. But I just happened to notice that *some* echos were classed as "Localarea". :/

Prior to that I had the impression that I could simply create the an areaname here and this thing would auto-add it via a built in areafix.

Btw. v1.6.8 has a handy address book. But this version does not. :(

Yep, There was a lot mail on hold. ;)

Funny.. If I request echos from my boss by netmail to areafix, aftershock will create them just fine.

I haven't tried to create echo locally in aftershock. However it would be nice to have automatic (re)linking of echos that exist.

Just to be clear, here is my understanding of how this works.

    1. You have to subscribe to an area using areafix. this has nothing to do with creating the area locally
    2. An area is created locally automagically as soon as a message arrives for that group.
    3. The issue is with _sending_ messages to a group. If the group does not exist locally you can create the group manually but then you need to
    a. ensure that your local group is tagged as networked
    b. you are connected to the group via areafix
    c. the group name is correct

Yes it is. I checked and replied to you in netmail to your point .59. Maybe you didn't get that netmail message either?

Do you receive echomail to this point?

I don't have any netmail from you on this point. I have a few areafix results such as %list and %query, but not from %help. I also have some netmail from my outside tests, but nothing with your name on it

Do you receive echomail to this point?

Echomail seems to be arriving here just fine.

Echomail seems to be arriving here just fine.

I changed the areafix flags and now netmail is arcmailed as echomail. I tested this and it didn't make any diffrence in my aftershock point.

I'll send you one more 'ping' in netmail.

    Hello august abolins,

Btw. v1.6.8 has a handy address book. But this version does not. :(
Address book feature is not completed yet.
You may have seen development build that I sent to Rudi for reviewing.

    With best regards.
