It's not going to matter this time around because President Trump will be re-elected.

Thanks for those comforting words, but I still worry.

    Hello Greg,

Thanks for those comforting words, but I still worry.

It is a privilege to announce that after today, I don't think that there is
any doubt that President Trump will be re-elected.

According to who? The self-appointed chairman of the
Committee to RE-Elect the President (C.R.E.E.P.)?

At least 24 Democrats and 1 Republican disagree, each claiming
one of them will win the prize next November.

    Robert Mueller testified under oath

In sworn testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, and the
House Intelligence Committee, Mueller told everyone that due to an
OLC memo from long ago in which one lawyer's opinion was that a
sitting president could not be indicted, it was not DOJ policy for
him to do so, even though his report did not exonerate the president.
He also clearly stated that Donald Trump can be indicted after he
    leaves office.

I expect every presidential candidate is going to have a field
day with this. Except for the incumbent, whose only recourse will
    be to duck and hide.

that his investigation was not obstructed,

Mueller's report showed at least two instances in which Trump
tried to fire him. It was also shown in his report the president's
attempts to cover it up with lies and deceipt.

yet the Democrats want to impeach Trump for obstructing a investigation

Had the president actually fired the special counsel, it would have
been obstruction of justice, which is most definitely an impeachable
offense. His efforts to cover up what he did can also be considered obstruction.

that the lead investigator said was not obstructed.

The AG claimed the Mueller report fully exonerated Trump. The special
counsel testified on live television that the AG lied, that the report
does not exonerate Trump, and that Trump can be charged after he leaves
    office.

The Dems wanted The Empire Strikes back but what they got was re-runs of
    Matlock instead.

The only show on today was Mueller testifying before the Congress.
With real people, not actors playing a part.

    Hello Greg,

    [..]

The only show on today was Mueller testifying before the Congress.
With real people, not actors playing a part.

The so called Mueller Report is a joke, what happened yesterday indicates
that his name was used because of his prestigious reputation but the 14 people who put it together were all Democrats and Hillary Clinton
supporters and donated heavily to her campaign and even partied with her
the night of the election. That must of been one helluva hangover the
morning after - the kind that is remedied with a little more of the dog
that bit you last night. Breakfast of Champions - even though they lost, still there is this hangover to deal with...

Excuse me? As special counsel, Bob Mueller had overseen the work
of almost 60 people (lawyers and FBI agents) who interviewed hundreds
of people and conducted countless investigations. His report speaks
for itself, and is largely available for the general public to read.

He seemed incoherent, lost and even appeared to be drugged not knowing key
elements of the report that bared his name. He knew nothing of Fusion GPS,
He did not even know who Corey Lewandowski was. This was a disaster for the Dems. He was not prepared. It is obviously clear that he was a figurehead.

On, come now. Bob Mueller was the perfect witness. Ask any
competent lawyer, and they will tell you if their witness is going
to testify, that is exactly what they would want them to do.

What do I mean by that?

A good witness is someone who -

    1. answers only the questions being asked of him;

    2. if the question requires a "yes" or "no" answer, gives
    a "yes" or "no" answer;

    3. does not grandstand or offer more information that is required; and

    4. if he did not fully hear the question, asks to repeat it so that
he is not giving an answer to something that they were not asked ...

Now compare how Bob Mueller conducted himself with how your beloved
president conducted himself. And do note the difference.

It is time to investigate the investigators.

All 435 members of the House of Representatives?
What about the 100 members of the Senate? Or should
just the president's lawyer (Bob Barr) be investigated?

Time to face the facts. The president is a crook. Just like Nixon.
Only Nixon had the decency to resign from office in disgrace.

I actually feel sorry for the guy - he was not prepared, answered no or I do

He held his own, and did quite well for a fellow who is almost age 75.
Even if he has lost a few steps due to age. Sharp as a tack, not
missing a beat, he told the truth - unlike the piece of orange crap
we have residing in the oval office.

I am sure some folks would have loved for Mueller to have given
them some sound bites that would have sunk Trump's boat. But that
was wishful thinking on their part, probably due to their hopes of
using Mueller's testimony to get President Trump to resign from
    office.

Even MSNBC called it a disaster.

Given their lineup of commentators, that is probably true. But that
does not change who Mueller is, or change any of his testimony.

The best quote did not from the inside the hearing, it came from outside and
from the President of the United States, "The Democrats had nothing and now they have worse then nothing."

Some Democrats were expecting too much from Mueller. None of his
testimony surprised me, as he has testified before the Congress some
89 times, always in the same dry manner. The scope of his tesimony
was also quite limited, as he had stated beforehand.

With Mueller's testimony in the bag, we can all move forward in this impeachment inquiry, with many more witnesses to come between now and
    election day ...

    investigation that the lead investigator
    said was not obstructed

Irrelevant to the elements of a crime of obstruction of justice.

Yeah the entire case is irrelevant as well as a complete waste of
time. Obstruction wouldn't be considered to be a crime if he did, but
he didn't. Robert Mueller testified under oath that his investigation
    was not obstructed.

As Mueller and others have said -- attempts to obstruct justice is a
very serious crime. It is still a crime even if the attempt is not
successful. The Mueller report laid out all the legal requirments for
multiple attempts at obstruction of justice by Trump. In case you
missed it, or the news outlets you watch omitted it, he also said that
Trump could be prosecutted for those attempts once he is not in office.

SO -- you just keep on spouting your mantra. It is not relevant.

Nope. Attempts to obstruct an investigation is a crime -- whether or

which, the Mueller investigation did produce evidence of multiple crimes
and guilty pleas and guilty convictions and prison sentences have

    Hello Greg,

what are you? a damned crook like so many others???

I am a Patriot, like so many others.

    Patriot
    noun
a person who vigorously supports their country and is prepared to defend it
    against enemies or detractors.

“One question in my mind, which I hardly dare mention in public, is
whether patriotism has, overall, been a force for good or evil in the
world. Patriotism is rampant in war and there are some good things
about it. Just as self-respect and pride bring out the best in an
individual, pride in family, pride in teammates, pride in hometown
bring out the best in groups of people. War brings out the kind of
pride in country that encourages its citizens in the direction of
excellence and it encourages them to be ready to die for it. At no
time do people work so well together to achieve the same goal as they
do in wartime. Maybe that's enough to make patriotism eligible to be
considered a virtue. If only I could get out of my mind the most
patriotic people who ever lived, the Nazi Germans.”
    ~ Andy Rooney, My War

Today, Germans are our friends. And to think, according to Reporters
Without Borders, Germany ranks far higher than the USA in regards to
freedom of the press (free speech). Why is that? Not because any of
them are good Nazis, as most Germans have denounced that philosophy
    long ago ...

it was not a "gotcha" question but you surely seem to have
misunderstood it like so many other ignorant people...

    adjective: ignorant

lacking knowledge or awareness in general; uneducated or unsophisticated.
"he was told constantly that he was ignorant and stupid"

Germans were a well-educated people who openly praised Adolf Hitler.
He took office through legal means, and was widely supported until
just before Berlin fell to the Allied powers during WWII. Even
after the war, many former Nazis continued to serve in government
positions, although no longer serving a Fuhrer as their god.

What I am saying is the German people went in with their eyes
wide open. Not closed and shut, or ignorant in any way. They
knew who and what Hitler was, and chose to follow him anyway.

After the war, Germans asked the rest of the world - "Why did you
bomb our cities? Why did you bomb our schools? Why did you bomb
our hospitals?" To them, the world was the agressor, with Germans
    defending their own homeland.

    synonyms: uneducated, unknowledgeable, untaught, unschooled, untutored, >untrained, illiterate, unlettered, unlearned, unread, uninformed, >unenlightened, unscholarly, unqualified, benighted, backward; inexperienced, >unworldly, unsophisticated;

    neck
up, a brick short of a load, two sandwiches short of a picnic.

Germans are not a stupid or ignorant people. And neither are
Americans. Germans knew who and what Hitler was. Americans know
who and what Trump is. As such, we both got what we asked for.

All that is missing is your photo...

You are talking out of context or it is a misunderstanding.
This was never directed at you or at any German; past or present.

Elderly Germans will tell you exactly what I wrote. Germans were
fighting a defensive war, with others being the aggressor. Germans
had done nothing to deserve death and destruction. Hitler made the
German people feel proud about themselves, and gave them hope for
    a better future.

Let it be known that I do not support what Hitler did with respect to his >final solution, -attempt to commit total genocide of the Jewish people, or >those who died by his aggression.

The victors write the histories. Had the Germans won the war, guess
which side would have been made the boogey man? I am not saying that
Hitler was a saint, as historians have documented what was done. But
we should also realize that there were no true innocents in that war.

I do not agree with what the U.S. and what the allied powers did, attacking >the innocent, bombing German cities and murdering innocent German's who were >not part of any any military facility. I do not agree with that. Just as I
    do
not agree with what the United States did in Japan, with the dropping of two >atomic bombs on the innocent. The Japanese government could not see or hear >that we meant business, until there was tremendous loss of life of the >innocent.

Kurt Vonnegut wrote "Slaughterhouse Five" as a novel, but it was
really more of an autobiography of his experience of having been in
Dresden during the time the Allies bombed the city. More innocents
were killed in Dresden than in the atomic bombings in Japan. And
    that was by conventional bombs.

Harry Truman chose to atomize two Japanese cities as a means of
warning Russia who was next on his list. Not as a means of ending
the war in Japan. General Curtis LeMay was sorely disappointed
that Truman did not follow through, as the USA could not have been
    stopped.

Today we: within the (U.S.) are friends with the Germans and also friends
    with the Japanese.

I can you guarantee this, if Hitler never committed mass murder, never >attacked Russia and did not attack the United Kingdom. Germany today would
    be
vastly different today. It wouldn't be the sanctuary that it is today for >Muslims.

Eugenics was used in the USA before Germans decided to adopt it.
As such, the USA is just as guilty, if not more so, than Germany
of having committed mass murder. From a German perspective Germany
was fighting a defensive war, on three fronts. Others were the
    aggressor.

Had Germany won the war, you would have been singing high praises
to Adolf Hitler and his Third Reich. Along with a good many others
    around the world.
