Dotoran who wrote for CNet Amiga back in the day is back to writing again and updating his software for CNet v5.21 which as of this writing is the latest release version. He runs a BBS called Frontiers Net
frontiers.dotoran.com:9892 The majority of his files are Arexx so I am sure they would run on Zeus.. You also might want to check with Tim Grooms at
CIA Amiga BBS ciaamigabbs.dynu.net:6400 he runs Zeus and I am pretty sure has
a bunch of stuff for it... Hope that helps some....

It's just a shame we don't have more people picking up the hobby, especially using older systems like the Amiga.

Maybe thats part of the "problem"? Fidonet or retrocomputing at the whole
is a hobby like collecting and taking care about other old stuff like
    oldtimers or so.
For me itīs part of our culture we should conserve. Youīll need to find
other people being interested in this conserving thing. I donīt think that
you can convince people that Fidonet is a great communication platform.

And as with other strange hobbies you need to actively advertise this one
as well. Sitting around and waiting for new enthusiasts wonīt work in the
    long run.

Maybe an add in your local newspaper or on Craigslist could help...

I agree, a lot of it has to do with discovery. My Amiga system was recently featured in the Amiga subreddit on reddit.com and I had an explosion of
users, many of whom have continued to frequent the system.

My internet has been out most of the day and I had to explain to my kids how when I was their age I would have to connect to another single computer by using the phone line just to interact with others.

Ah, yeah, I know that... My blog was once featured on Slashdot... had a
nice impact, but not as high as I feared.

My internet has been out most of the day and I had to explain to my kids how when I was their age I would have to connect to another single computer by using the phone line just to interact with others.

Believe it or not... while I haveīt had any modem in decades, I now do own
at least 4 of them. Because I think it is important to have alternative communication possibilities and not only rely on the Internet. Sadly, over
here in Germany all phones lines are now running on IP as well, so thatīs something I cannot control myself, but in fact I have everything here to be able to communicate without IP connectivity. (at least for land side connections, maybe I try to find something that works over the air as
    well).

I've got some software to interface Zeus with other bbs packages's door games like Ami/X, I could easily incorporate C-Net into it.

Totally agree! If my Amiga hadn't taken a crap, I would have put a BBS back on it. If I wasn't so 'upset' and just tossed it, it prolly could have been fixed by ME, after reading in the Amiga FB echos.. *sigh*

    *broken hearted*

I plan on getting another Amiga after I move though... can't wait!
