    Hey Nancy!

And we just got about 4 or so inches overnight last night....
    everything is white again

It stopped raining ... for now ... and the temperature is too high for snow, roughly 10C as we speak. We're the hot spot on the Island.

    Life is good,
    Maurice

Meanwhile it was only 11F in the morning day before yesterday.... with
highs in the low 20s.... the forecast for tonight's low is 5-10F.... At
least it's better than in the North Country (of NYS), where the lows are subzero, and the highs are barely over.... :)

    You can keep it.

Speaking of cold, the coldest I've ever experienced was -50C, which converts to
-58F, a long time ago in a land far, far away.

You can keep that.... Fortunately I've never had to deal with that... :)

This weekend though, they're forecasting lows below 0øF, and a high on
    Monday of only 9øF maybe....

    Hey Nancy!

You'll have to take that up with Mother Nature. Good luck with that.

This weekend though, they're forecasting lows below 0°F, and a
high on Monday of only 9°F maybe....

We're cooling off a tad but still above freezing even with the overnight lows.
Tonight the low is expected to be 5°C which is as warm as the highs of last week. Also it started raining again today and is expected to be at least showers for the next week or so.

    Hola Nancy!

We just got over a foot of the white stuff overnight, with more
    coming down...

I heard there is/was a big storm out east. I wasn't sure exactly where out east but given you got a foot of snow I'd say Rochester is/was part of Mother Nature's little tantrum.

rain on Wednesday... on top of the snow

    That can be fun.

all I see is the probability of ice

    Yeah.

Today is clear, just in time for the super blood wolf moon eclipse which begins
in roughly 40 minutes from now. I am going to head down to the beach which is
within spitting distance from my front door to have a looksee. It faces east and should be an excellent platfor for viewing the entire ~5 hour event. I am amazed that we lucked out with the weather especially at this time of year.

    La vida es buena,
    Maurice

Right now, that almost sounds enticing... ;) We just got over a foot of

Yeah, we ended up with over 18"... right in the middle of the storm....
it certainly was a fairly sidespread storm....

rain on Wednesday... on top of the snow

    That can be fun.

We did get the warmth, and the rain.... mostly it just packed the snow, although some things did turn to ice, especially after the temps dropped
    again significantly...

I do envy you that.... we had total cloud cover that night... Everything
was bright because of the clouds reflecting the city lights.... not a
chance of viewing that eclipse.... maybe another time we'll get better
    luck...
