    Hey SETH!

I'm also blind as well and I prefer bbs as a form of comunation.

Very interesting. Are you using voice to text software and/or Braille based software and hardware?

    Hey SETH!

I'm using netcat with nvda on a win64 win10 system.

netcat I know but just learned about nvda. Given my systems here, which are all 64 bit linux based, nvda isn't possible except maybe as a virtual machine.
netcat is definetly doable as well as socat which can handle encryted ssl sockets which makes for more secure telnet like configurations. See http://www.dest-unreach.org/socat/ for a win64 version of socat.

    Hey Carol!

    Check Vocal Eyes or JAWS.

I have run across a few possible candidates but often they require java which is something I personally avoid. However if it becomes important I'd probably set up a box and install a mainstream distribution where the java dependencies could be available. I'd rather not though since it would add too much drag onto the projects I already have going.

At the moment I have no need, nor desire, given the restrictive nature of all things java. However how utilties such as netcat and/or socat could fit into a
dynamic Fidonet messaging scheme is of great interest to me and I am in a postition to assist such an endeavour. I'd even be willing to dedicate a box with it's own static ip number to facillitate such an honourable goal.

I'm using netcat with nvda on a win64 win10 system.

NVDA is reasonably good stuff with a wide range of hardware support. Comes from Z3 if I recall right. I have it loaded on a USB stick and fire it up to test stuff now and again.
