Only for those of us who are using GUI clients. Especially for the FTN
clones that are more agressive on evolving the readers with ANSI, MCI, PipeCodes, and now MIME embedded attachments.

Like the discussion of ^aCOLS:, where I could see it being useful for
those of use with GUI knowing to do:
    (a) Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"
    (b) Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"; format=flowed

*If* it becomes too much for people to handle in their readers, I will
add logic to my tosser to filer it out of @fidonet stream. ;-)

    O.

possibly but it is ugly in plain text having to see that stuff... i'd suggest to maybe hide them behind ^A... leave the ascii text alone and ^A all the rest... that'll hide it from most folk's view... GoldED users, at least, may see them because GoldED doesn't know them... the new ^ACols control line is displayed because it is unknown... i haven't looked to adding it to my local copy of GED, yet...

Of course, I have never seen anyone talking about improving MIME, so

until MIME is recognized and used in FTNs, well...

there is documentation in the FTSC libraries that talks about MIME... check the
Type 3 and Type 10 packet proposals... there may be other docs that mention MIME as well... if you don't have it yet, i'd get the whole library to local media and then it is a lot easier to grep and look over...

Great minds think a like - with all the pre-election stuff, I now
download ftscall into my linux drive, and grep when I want to find
something - really helpful when I was coding my tosser. It is how I
    found other tossers are:

setting prodcode = 0x00 (FIDO Tom Jennings)
    putting between kludges = 0x0d 0x0a instead of 0x0d
    ocassionally getting end of pkt = 0x0d 0x00 instead of 0x0d 0x00 0x00 0x00

and found that ^aSEEN-BY: is acceptable (per spec being flexible
because someone was doing it wrong)

Now I am just testing to make sure I clear variables from PKTmsg to
PKTmsg - just found REPLY was repeating when a NEW MSG was generated
    out there.
