Am I the first one to inform you that you just cross-posted thousands of USENET spam and other off-topic messages into dozens of FidoNet echoes? :-(

No and you probably won't be the last. I had redone my WildCat Message bases and that is where they came from. It dumped the same garbage onto my Mystic BBS. So I saw it right away. I have not seen any more dumps.
Again sorry guys.
It happens, not the end of the world :)messages
I am sure Rob remembers how Mystic had this lovely bug when I enabled QWKnet/Fido gating where it was flooding DoveNet with hundreds of dupe
in every QWK packet. Glad to see someone trying to one up my error! ;)(sorry
Rob!)back
A while back we had a PCBoard setup on fsxNet dump thousands of messages
into the network and they were all slightly modified so they didn't get detected as duplicates. It happens.

I know I can do the "Real Fact" thing easily enough for WINServer, but how are you pulling current weather conditions? Might be nice to write a mod like that as my first release as a Phenom member ;)

I have a weather station (a Davis Instruments Vantage VUE, you can't get as-good weather stations these days for much less at Costco) - anyway,
it stores data on the PC (as well as pushing it to wunderground.org)
and I just have a timed event that pulls the data from the weather data file and amends my signature file, periodically.

While you're fixing things, how about reducing the number of ads you post to the Fido BBS_ADS area? You don't need a new ad posted every. single. day.:-)

Stuff happens. But, this is where wcReports comes in handy -- lets youeasily
clean out your message base files before something like this happens :)

Didn't realize it was an issue. How about two day a week?

Does everyone feel that way? Is there a rule?
However it does not matter to me so I don't mind changing to once a
week.

According to this logic, why even advertise?
There's a big difference between zero advertisements and non-zero advertisements. I don't think anyone is suggest you don't advertise. But posting the exact same ad multiple times a month in a message area that only gets advertisements to begin with seems a bit excessive - like you're tryingto
flood the area with *only* ads for *your* BBS. Then it becomes a competition among sysops: who can post ads the most frequently? Let's try not to gothere
is all I'm saying. You won! You can post the most frequent! Now, kindly slowit
down. Or not. Whatever. :-)
That's I like Synchronet.
