Just a heads up that 3:770/1 will shortly be migrating away from BinkD + FastEcho as it's mailer and tosser respectively. In the coming days I plan to cut the HUB over to one powered by Mystic BBS. This should assist with some dupe loop niggles created because FE strips inter-zonal SEEN-BY kludges.
    Mystic does not do that.

I'll post again when the cut over has been completed.

    Best, Paul

He may need some help, which he does have.

If changes are needed in Mystic, James is always open to that.

We are looking at a couple of things now. If you have info or input about the way Mystic interacts with the net we are listening.

As you can see I am getting dupes to 770/100 from 770/1 after the cut over.

I plan to restore to FastEcho and revisit my plans. James is not active at
the moment otherwise I would work with him to debug. But for now I'll start looking at a Plan B.

I have but honestly the lack of JAM support for Netmail is a key
reason I have not opted to use it.

i thought it could import netmails into the BBS into a JAM area?

generally speaking, in traditional FTN installations, there are at least two netmail areas... one for the mailer and tosser and one for the BBS... the tosser is the interface between them... if not the tosser, then a tool like netmgr or maybe rntrack...

the above became apparent to be when i was running remoteaccess... it only supported the HMB at that time... it never supported MSG so there was no way to
share the ""main"" netmail area so users could get and send netmail... later on JAM was added but there was still the problem of not being able to share the
""main"" netmail area in MSG format... the mailer and the tosser effectively communicate via that area and the BBS netmail area is a seperate entity altogether...

once that clicked in my mind, everything was golden... it even lead me to understanding that one could set up seperate netmail areas for each network their system was in, too... that helped lessen the training of the users using netmail so they didn't have to understand FTN addresses and choose the proper one for the network they were writing netmail in...

Have you considered FMail? (Since you are using Windows)
It can import the AREAS.BBS file of other tossers... ;)

I have but honestly the lack of JAM support for Netmail is a key reason I
have not opted to use it.
