I used to have an AS400 working, but it's now taken out of mission. While it lasted, it was a real challenge, especially making the network working with my XP system.

My, what a chunky thing. I too had possession at home of an AS/400 for a while - it was about the size of a two drawer filing cabinet. Never did get it fired up at home though. Sat at one end of the settee for a some time in "coffee table" mode - until the significant other said to "get rid of it!"
I had a special network card for token ring to ethernet conversion
-- can't remember now how it was done, but I remember that I had quite a lot of coax cables running around in my basement.
The model I had used that fat coax cable for its terminals as well - I even had
a couple of cards for the "PC" and software for a terminal emulation.
Didn't have TCP/IP for it as I recall (this was some decades ago).
