in version 19, the support for many old hardware was removed, probably the problem is related to this. Try to put the kernel older.

I have a Samsung R520 laptop, on sunday i can check if the suspend mode works on it.

I think, it must be work fine, because it work fine on R518.
P5CG-MX motherboard is more older.
