Yep. He's the one who made healthcare insurance mandatory for everybody who
can pay and healthcare itself unaffordable to said people.
Thanks, obama.
So why pay at all for what is the most basic of all human rights?

Have you ever thought about it like this?
Imagine:
You're a human who was born on the earth. One day, you need your
appendix removed, or you will die. The guy who lives down the street is the only person in the world who can remove an appendix properly.
However, he don't take cash; he takes vegetables. If you can grow
enough vegetables in time, the vegetables that he wants to eat, then
you will live.
While you're struggling to grow these vegetables, your naggy neighbor tells you "He's gotta do your surgery for free because if he don't,
then he's a racist."
Are you gonna join your neighbor's political party to demand the free surgery, or are you gonna be polite with the surgeon and try to grow
his favorite veggies?
Yep. He's the one who made healthcare insurance mandatory for everybo who can pay and healthcare itself unaffordable to said people.Meanwhile, us taxpayers pay for those who cannot afford to pay.

The right to access for quality healthcare is for all, not just
for some.
Thanks, obama.Biden will take care of unfinished business, making everything free.
Not just healthcare. And let's not forget about raising penalties for those who do not pay their taxes.
Nothing is free in this world... but at this point I'm starting to feel tha you're just a fat troll. Although I have to admit you're pretty good at it.
We have a good public healthcare system in Australia, and it works pretty decently. I don't know why Americans think it is not possible.
I get sick, insurance will not kick in until I pay at least $7500. What a p of horseshit!
it became really hard to find a clinic that works with self-paying clients. Thanks obama.

Well, here's a story for you:
I'm a taxpayer. I'm not hiding nor avoiding anything. So I have to pay not just for myself but for all those who 'cannot afford' to pay too. But the thing is I cannot affort it either. Healthcare insurance 'premiums' went up
from $240/mo to $1300/mo between 2013 and 2018 for my family of three. Copays
and deductibles have increased as well. So thanks to obama I had to pay insane amounts of money and get nothing in return. And that's for the cheapest insurance which didn't cover shit. $70 copay for an office visit, $200 for a simple ultrasound, $800 for CAT, no coverage for prescriptions. If
I get sick, insurance will not kick in until I pay at least $7500. What a pile of horseshit!
Prices don't seem to go down after current president cancelled penalties for
uninsured, but at least they don't go higher. Thanks obama. My whole family
has no insurance now because we cannot afford it anymore. Thanks obama. And
it became really hard to find a clinic that works with self-paying clients.
Thanks obama.

It's because we would have to extend the offer to the entire world. Could you
imagine a single country paying for the entire world's health expenses? Until
we fix our border, that's what it would equate to.
I get sick, insurance will not kick in until I pay at least $7500. Whata p

Wow! That plan sounds slightly cheaper than the one I was on. Good thing I never used it! :)

You're totally right about that! I had widsom tooth fragments that I needed
removed, and they wanted me to bring like $500 with me to put down. When I agreed to come in with the money, they still turned me down. They just don't
want someone without insurance - period.

The first of all human rights is access to quality health care.
Anybody who denies that right to others is a murderer.

I respect your decision, but if it were me, I'd try to appease the surgeon with whatever veggies he wants. Growing vegetables takes a little work, just like a surgery.

It kinda works that way. You hunt animals, and take fruits from trees. When
you've already eaten all the animals around, and all the berries, then you just wander over to the next town and start again. This way, everything is always free.

Making medical care affordable, and making it free for the world, are two different things, and in some ways, mutually exclusive.

Question -- is suing people for malpractice, or lawyers who make a living doing only that, popular in Australia? Are elective, cosmetic surgeries popular there?
Sorry, that is 2 questions. :)

To answer your questions as best I can
1) As far as I know, not as much, I'll have to do research. But I suspect the
difference wouldn't be massive.
2) Per capita, Australians spend more than the USA on cosmetic surgery. I saw >figure of 40% more per capita. This may be in part due to Australia being heav
ily urbanised.
Mike Powell wrote to DENNIS KATSONIS <=-That is predicated on my answer to question 1 being correct, which I'm not 100% sure it is. I'm basing my answer on the fact we don't hear as much about doctors being sued here.

Thanks. My assumption has always been that part of the issue in the US
is that people are more likely to sue...

... and that they are more likely to sue because there is a lot of cosmetic surgery that does not turn out like the patient expects.
Maybe that is not why.
