present at the Capitol on 1/6 who did not engage in violence and did not attempt to enter the Capitol itself were not jailed.

Additionally, "the 1/6 people" were not jailed in unusual conditions; they faced the same jail conditions that pretty much everyone else who goes to
jail faces. Perhaps there are lessons to be learned: jail conditions suck and white people can attack police officers and live to talk about it.

This is not Argentina, which was once run by a military junta.
This is not Gilead, the land of make believe that Trump and DeSantis
want to turn this country into. We have laws in this country, where
folks who violate those laws are granted a fair trial, convicted and
put in prison.

Additionally, "the 1/6 people" were not jailed in unusual conditions;
they faced the same jail conditions that pretty much everyone else who
goes to jail faces. Perhaps there are lessons to be learned: jail
conditions suck and white people can attack police officers and live
to talk about it.

Congressmembers were denied access to the prisoners which does not help transparency.

No jail cell is a hotel room, where guests can invite whoever
they want, whenever they want. It is a holding place for people
awaiting trial.

Prisoners do have visitation rights, as established by the the city
or county where they are being held. But members of Congress have no
special privileges to circumvent those rules.

Members of Congress do not have special privileges to visit any prisoners
they wish, especially when the prisoners are in a facility not run by the federal government (the D.C. jail is not run by the federal government).

Additionally, the members of Congress showed up unannounced with a camera
crew, which violates visitation rules. Members of Congress have to follow the same rules as everyone else, and the use of camera equipment is considered a threat to the safety and security of the jail.

The insurrectionists were kept separated from the general population for
their own safety. After all, they had attacked the US Congress in an attempt
to keep Trump in power, and some people weren't too happy about that.

Plenty of people are held in jail pending trial; the insurrectionists did not receive unusual punishment.
