Pretty much. Although I did use a board some time ago in which
the sysop had a very specific way for members to send/receive netmail.
Much too confusing, so I never bothered at his board. But it could
be done, and a small handful of members actually did do so.

I will not name the sysop, because some have criticized his approach.
However, I will say he has been very supportive of all who have used
his board, and continues to welcome newcomers.

some did back in the day of POTS connections because of the expense of LD phone
calls but that was mostly because they didn't know how to route netmail properly... others limited it because they were attempting to provide it as a feature to draw paying users... i'm sure there were additional reasons but those two are at the top of the (virtual) lists i've (never) seen ;)

61% of voters say they do not want to select a different Democratic

by the time I closed it down.

Fidonet is a pain for me. I tried to carry it but I couldn't manage to poll
for messages. I got Scinet working nicely but Fido has too many issues for me.

I like Capital Station BBS - It's a smooth Mystic BBS.
