    is there a way for users to transfer files over telnet when logged in to my bbs sorry new to this synchronet software

    Yes. Users can upload & download files with the Xmodem, Ymodem, or Zmodem protocol over telnet like in the old days of BBSing. They'd have to be using a
    BBS-capable telnet client that supports file transfers though.

    If they are using a "vanilla" telnet client, i.e. typing 'telnet' at a
    command prompt, then no they cannot. If they are using a terminal program
    like syncterm or magiterm then, yes, they can transfer files via Zmodem and Xmodem (at least).
